how did this happen??
It happened pretty magically, actually. Andy and Lauren both miraculously knew to sit next to each other at a circus, even though they had never met before. He read somewhere that she liked BBQ and took her to eat some after, where she proceeded to look deep into his eyes and tell him how happy she was that there was Shiner Bock on the menu. It was a match made in heaven. Completely unplanned. The internet had nothing to do with it.

We will have some light campfire fare for the open attendance portion, so please feel free to eat a bit before if you're prone to getting hangry. Since we'll be getting relatively turnt the following day, we're keeping the boozy provisions light - if you'd like to add some of your own to the mix, we won't kick you out.

ACCOMODATIONS
One of our favorite things about Mendocino is the collection of adorable victorian farms that have since been turned into B&Bs. We HIGHLY recommend making reservations ASAP, as we have apparently chosen the most popular time of year to get married in a teeny tiny town. The earlier the better! There are a few that are even within walking distance from the venue. WIN.
THINGS TO DO
It's a small town - there's one pub and a few restaurants (and several candy stores!), but there are a few really great spots to explore and enjoy the beauty of the area. Here are a few of our favorite spots and a bit more we've managed to weasel out of some of the locals. And yes, Mendo is starting to be known in the Bay Area as the "green" Napa, if you catch me.
PLANNING YOUR DRIVE
There are two ways to get there from SF - the short drive is about 3 hours, sticking to 101 which is inland. The longer route along highway 1, which is about one hour longer, is all ocean views, taking you through some of our favorite seaside towns, reminiscent of the Irish coast. We've mapped some of our favorite spots so you can make the trek an adventure.
